In our quest, we sought inspiration from the nearby environment: the rugged cliffs, azure waters, untamed grasslands, and sandy shores of Coastal California provided the color spectrum from which we derived our palette. Since the inception of our design journey, we've drawn upon the awe-inspiring natural beauty of Malibu for inspiration. My aspiration is for every element to evoke a sense of its authentic, natural essence.

"Inspiration can stem from various sources, and our aim is to offer colors and tools that assist both designers and homeowners in translating that color inspiration onto their walls," Magno remarks.

Benjamin Moore offers an extensive palette of over 3500 colors, encompassing a broad spectrum from vivid and rich tones to soft and subdued hues, including a diverse selection of whites and pastels. Our aspiration for the color palette in our Malibu home leans toward lighter, more neutral tones, paying homage to the captivating landscape while imparting a sense of expansiveness to the house. Upon completion, the main house will span 2,500 square feet, yet my vision is for it to exude a much larger feel. We're crafting an open floor plan, capitalizing on vaulted ceilings, an open living area, natural light, and a muted palette to create the airy atmosphere I seek. Layers of lighter tones will foster continuity and coherence throughout the residence, facilitating a seamless transition between rooms and an overarching feeling of effortless inspiration.
